Electronic communications
All communications whether via this website or any other electronic means of communication with EMB are legally binding and should thus be treated as legal channels of communication.
- Payment and Booking confirmation
• Clients are kindly requested and expected to pay 50% deposit to secure booking (a quote or invoice will be sent upfront). The remaining balance is expected to be paid immediately after treatments are done.
•The above 50% is forfeited if you decide to cancel the booking without prior written correspondence to EMB at least 48 hours before treatment date pending rescheduling, else the 50% deposit is forfeited. - • We accept the following modes of payment : Cash | Visa/Mastercard | EFT
• Clients are advised to pay and clear when doing EFTs.
• Cash payments are not to be made directly to therapists unless there is prior written correspondence with the EMB booking team officials.
• Prices are subject to change without notice.
• Book in advance to avoid disappointment especially during busy periods.
• Bookings are only done through EMB official booking channels and not through any other channels. Once 50% deposit is made, booking is confirmed, and the client will get correspondence via WhatsApp or email, etc.
Cancellations
• Cancelling an appointment whilst we are already on our way to you or at your gate automatically attracts call out fee to be paid in full attracts full payment.
• EMB reserves the right to walk away during a treatment session involving difficult clients.
• EMB reserves the right not to book clients previously flagged as difficult.
• Deciding to do only soak off will still attract full payment of treatments booked prior to our coming.
Changing treatments
• Changing to less treatments upon arrival will still attract full price of treatments booked prior to the new changes.
• Changing to more treatments is very much welcome provided we have time.
Pamper parties and Corporate Wellness
• We charge per therapist per hour, and we reserve the right to change our pricing method depending on the number of treatments required.
• The number of therapists is solely determined by the number of people to be treated and the timeframe required to finish the treatments.
• EMB reserves the right to bring a professional photographer to your event.
• Photos taken during treatment sessions automatically become EMB property and are from time to time used for advertising or marketing purposes.
Vouchers
• EMB vouchers are created upon request (they will soon be available to purchase online).
• EMB vouchers are not transferable and are non-refundable.
• Valid for 3 months starting from date of purchase.
• Vouchers not redeemed within the stipulated time frame are automatically forfeited.
Medical conditions
Please inform EMB booking team of any medical conditions or any nail problems they should be aware of before booking as some treatments may not be suitable for:
• People with critical medical conditions.
• People with allergies.
•People with nail disorders might need to consult with a clinician instead of a nail technician.
• Pregnant women.
• People who might have recently shaved in less than 24 hours, it is recommended to shave your legs at least 24 hours before a pedicure lest you are infected with bacteria which might enter through the microscopic wounds caused by shaving.
Tipping policy
• A client is expected but not obliged to tip a therapist at least 10% of the cost of the client’s treatment.
• The above is solely dependent on the generosity of the client and when they are satisfied with the treatments.
Mobile Spa Etiquette `
• Avoid eating a heavy meal before for those treatments that might require you to lie on your stomach and avoid showing up on an empty tummy as hunger pangs will rob you of your relaxation and enjoyment.
• Take a break from your phone if possible unless you must attend to an emergency.
• Soliciting personal cell phone numbers of therapists or clients to take away business from EMB is strictly prohibited and is condemned in strongest terms.
• Don’t be left stark naked for those treatments that might require taking your clothes off.
• Tip our therapist in cash if you so wish according to our tipping policy.
Others
• We can and may bring more than one therapist for two to three clients with treatments exceeding R3500.
• We don’t come out for soak off treatments only.
• EMB reserves the right not to repair nail damages when the client is at fault.
• We don’t fill lashes done by other service providers unless lash fans and glue are similar.
•For couples massages and other related treatments, we provide gowns
• Personal information obtained from the client(s) is not in any way or under any circumstances passed on to any third party.
